TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern the Shell Go+ Loyalty Programme (the “Loyalty Programme”) and the use of the Shell Go+ digital application (the “App”).
Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before registering your membership via the Shell Website or by using the App.
If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions of use, you will not have access to the Loyalty Programme and you are requested to refrain from accessing or using the App or Membership Card.
DEFINITIONS
“Car Wash” means a car wash (subject to availability) at a Participating Site;
“Customer Services” means the Loyalty Programme customer services team, which can be contacted by emailing gopluscscuk@shell.com or by calling 0800 731 8888 from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm;
“Fuel” means Shell Main grade fuels and Shell V-Power fuels, subject to availability at Participating Sites;
“Hot Drink” means a medium (or equivalent) sized coffee, tea or hot chocolate product (depending on availability) from the coffee concession operating at the Participating Site where a Reward is being redeemed;
“Membership Card” means the Loyalty Programme membership card;
“Operator“ means Wunderman, a division of Young & Rubicam Group Limited a corporation incorporated in England and Wales, (registered company number: 01331847), whose registered office is at Greater London House, Hampstead Road, London , NW1 7QP
“Participating Site“ means a Shell service station at which the Member Benefits and Rewards of the Loyalty Programme may be redeemed. A full list of participating sites is available at www.goplus.shell.com (please note that this list is subject to change and may be amended at Shell’s sole and absolute discretion) together, the “Participating Sites”;
“Privacy Policy“ means the Shell Go+ members’ privacy policy;
“Promoter” or “Shell” means Shell U.K. Oil Products Limited (as agent for Shell U.K. Limited), registered in the United Kingdom with company number 03625633 with registered address at Shell Centre, London, SE1 7NA;
“Qualifying Purchase” means a purchase made by a member, using the App or the Membership Card, of either: (i) an amount of fuel that is equal to or exceeding £10 at a Participating Site; or (ii) a purchase of any other product available for sale at a Participating Site excluding Fuel, lottery tickets, spirits, tobacco, phone cards and any other age-restricted products, for an amount that is equal to or exceeding £2.
Independent purchases made at the same or a different Participating Site within 10 minutes of each other will be clustered together and treated as a single purchase, provided that each independent purchase is a Qualifying Purchase;
“Soft Drink” means a soft drink from a range to be determined by Shell; and
“Website” means www.goplus.shell.com.
GENERAL
BECOMING A SHELL GO+ MEMBER
- Customers may become a Loyalty Programme member by registering their membership either via the App or the Website.
- All registration details must be completed in full and must contain the proposed member’s name, gender, home address, postcode and e-mail address.
- Members must keep Shell informed of any changes to their registration details by ensuring that the details are up to date on their Loyalty Programme account.
- To make any changes to personal details, members must log in to their Loyalty Programme account via the App or Website, or contact Customer Services.
CANCELLING AND DELETION OF A SHELL GO+ MEMBERSHIP
- Members can cancel their membership to the Loyalty Programme at any time by contacting Customer Services. The obsolete data relating to that member will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- By leaving the Loyalty Programme members forfeit the right to any Reward(s) already accrued or issued.
- Should a Shell Go+ membership be inactive for a period of 2 full calendar years (January to December), then such an account will be automatically deleted and any such member wishing to re-join the Loyalty Programme will have to re-register and create a new membership.
LOYALTY PROGRAMME BENEFITS AND USING MEMBER REWARDS
- The Loyalty Programme benefits comprise of Shell Go+ Member benefits (“Member Benefits”) and Rewards.
- Member Benefits are available to all members at all times for the entire duration of their Loyalty Programme membership. They comprise of discounts (made available in digital form through the App and the Website) on selected: (i) Hot Drinks; (ii) Deli2go products; (iii) Car Wash services; (iv) Shell Helix engine oils; and/or (v) other products that Shell, at its absolute discretion, may determine.
- Rewards comprise of the following five (5) types of rewards (together the “Rewards”) that may be issued to members and made available in digital form through the App and the Website:
i. Fuel rewards (“Fuel Rewards”) are discounts of between £1 to £50 (inclusive) off Fuel purchases that are issued to a member following the tenth (10th) Qualifying Purchase made by that member and following any multiple of ten (10) Qualifying Purchases thereof.
ii. Conditional rewards (“Conditional Reward”) are ‘buy X get X free on a future purchase’ offers that are issued to members upon a Qualifying Purchase. A Conditional Reward may include: (i) a Hot Drink; (ii) a Soft Drink; and/or (iii) any other product(s) that Shell, at its absolute discretion, may determine.
iii. Surprise rewards (“Surprise Rewards”) are issued to members from time to time and may be exchanged for an item within the category of item specified on the offer (which can be viewed though the App and/or the Website). The Surprise Reward may include: (i) a Hot Drink; (ii) a selected Deli2go item; (ii) a selected confectionary item; (iii) a Car Wash service, and/or (v) any other product(s) that Shell, at its absolute discretion, may determine. Surprise Rewards will be issued to a member on the basis of Qualifying Purchases made by the member and any purchasing history of the member.
iv. Bonus rewards (“Bonus Rewards”) are extra discounts applied to the Member Benefits, available from time to time and to be determined at Shell’s absolute discretion. These may include members being issued a discount on: (i) a Hot Drink; (ii) a Deli2go product; (iii) a Car Wash service; (iv) Shell Helix engine oils; and/or (v) any product(s) that Shell, at its absolute discretion, may determine.
v. Boost rewards (“Boost Rewards”) are additional Qualifying Purchase points which may be issued by Shell, at its sole and absolute discretion, on every 10th purchase of Fuel at a Participating Site and which accelerate the awarding of the Fuel Rewards.
vi. Partner rewards (“Partner Rewards”) Shell Go+ members are eligible to receive rewards from selected partners. These rewards will have specific T&Cs which will be made available and should be consulted when the member becomes eligible. - Shell will not be liable for any unused member Rewards or Member Benefits incurred as a result of incorrect or out of date contact details or personal details registered to a member’s Loyalty Programme account.
- Any Rewards which have been issued to a member will be reflected in their Loyalty Programme account, which is accessible via the App and/or through the Website.
- Once issued, a Reward can only be used at a Participating Site if it is activated prior to visiting the Participating Site. This can be done in a member’s Loyalty Programme account, which is accessible via the App and/or through the Website.
- Whilst Shell endeavours to ensure that Member Benefits and Rewards are available at Participating Sites, there may be instances where they cannot be redeemed at certain Participating Sites. In these instances, Shell may, at its sole and absolute discretion alter, vary or substitute such a Member Benefit or Reward.
- At all times, Rewards and Member Benefits are subject to Shell’s sole and absolute discretion. Shell can cancel, withdraw, alter or substitute the Rewards with an alternative rewards or reward scheme at any time.
- With the exception of the Member Benefits, all Rewards are valid for up to a maximum of 60 days from the date of issue (for the avoidance of doubt this is the date they are awarded by Shell and reflected in a member’s Loyalty Programme account, not the date on which the Reward is activated or redeemed by a member) unless otherwise stated on the offer (which can be viewed through the Website and/or the App). A Reward cannot be used or reissued after its expiry date.
- Members can earn up to a maximum of three (3) Qualifying Purchases each calendar day.
- Members can use Rewards on a maximum of five (5) individual transactions each calendar day.
- Subject to the Terms and Conditions, a member may use more than one Reward in a single transaction, providing they are different Reward types. Two (2) Fuel Rewards cannot be used in a single transaction. Where two or more Fuel Rewards have been activated, the Fuel Reward that expires first will be applied to a transaction. If both Fuel Rewards have the same expiry date, the one with the higher value will be redeemed. A Member Benefit and Fuel Partner Discount can be used in a single transaction.
- Fuel Rewards can only be used for Fuel expenditure that is equal to or greater than the amount stated on the Fuel Reward offer. If the price of the Fuel exceeds the value of the Fuel Reward offer, the outstanding balance must be paid on purchase.
- Members may not redeem Rewards in conjunction with any other offer, prize or benefit that is outside of the Shell Go+ programme. Local promotions will always be prioritised over the Shell Go+ benefit available.
- No cash alternative will be offered and each Member Benefit and Reward is non-transferable. By accepting a Member Benefit or Reward, each member agrees to hold Shell, and its respective affiliates, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the award of, the use of, or misuse of any Member Benefit or Reward. Where the law implies warranties which cannot be excluded, Shell’s liability for breach of those warranties is limited to resupplying the Reward (or paying for the cost thereof) where this is permitted by law. Members assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by use or redemption of any Member Benefit or Reward. Shell is not liable for any lost Member Benefit or Reward.
- Fuel Rewards cannot be converted into other Rewards and vice-versa.
- Shell can, at its sole and absolute discretion, add additional Rewards to a member’s Loyalty Programme account at any time.
- It is a member’s responsibility to check their Loyalty Programme account (via the App or the Website) to see whether there are any Rewards are available to them at that time.
LOST/STOLEN MEMBERSHIP CARDS
If a Membership Card is lost or stolen the member should contact Customer Services and report it lost or stolen, in order for it to be cancelled. A replacement Membership Card will then be issued to that member and sent to the address registered to that member’s Loyalty Programme account within 14 days, or so soon thereafter as is reasonably possible. If the new Membership Card does not arrive within 14 days, the member should contact Customer Services who will deactivate the last request and issue that member with a new Membership Card.
PROMOTER’S RIGHTS
- Neither Shell nor its agents shall be liable under, or in connection with, the Terms and Conditions, the Loyalty Programme or the use or redemption of any Reward for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the member, Shell or its agents, and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
- Shell may amend or vary the Terms and Conditions at any time, at its sole and absolute discretion.
- Any changes to the Terms and Conditions will be posted at www.goplus.shell.com/terms.
- Shell’s decision is final in every situation (including any not expressly mentioned in the Terms and Conditions.
- Shell and the Operator reserve the right to investigate any activity they believe to be of a fraudulent nature and to disqualify any members that they believe are carrying out fraudulent activity or otherwise seeking to circumvent the Terms and Conditions.
- Shell accepts no liability for lost, damaged or corrupted data; expired rewards or incomplete or incorrect use of the App whether due to omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
PRIVACY POLICY
- Shell Go+ Privacy Policy (which forms part of the Terms and Conditions) sets out how we use your data in relation to the Loyalty Programme. By participating in the Loyalty Programme you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the Privacy Policy

SECURITY
- If you choose or are provided with a username, password or any other piece of information as part of Shell’s security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential and you must not disclose it to any third party nor allow any unauthorized person access to the App under your username and/or password. You are responsible for any actions that take place while using your App account or while using the App via your Device and Shell is not responsible for any loss that results from the unauthorized use of your username and/or password, with or without your knowledge.
- Be aware that the use of some of the functionalities of the service requires access to the internet and your carrier's normal rates apply. The service contains services and features that are available to Devices having an internet connection and able to download, install and use the App.
SEVERENCE
Each of the Clauses or sub-clauses of these Terms and Conditions of Use operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining Clauses or sub-clauses will remain in full force and effect.
VARIATION
Shell may, by any means including notification on the website, app, or by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage or in writing: vary, add to or delete any of these Terms and Conditions (including without limitation any terms contained in written correspondence and the Privacy Policy) or impose new terms and conditions for any other card scheme or online service which is similar to the current card scheme or online service (whether or not such new scheme is operated by Shell or by a third party on behalf of Shell). The use of any Card after notification of any variation to these Terms and Conditions or the imposition of new terms and conditions shall be deemed to be acceptance of the varied or new terms and conditions by the Customer.
